I first came to Burnham Family Chiropractic Centre (BFCC) in December 2006 with lower back pain. This condition had caused me debilitating pain and discomfort for many months. Various treatments and investigations by the NHS had proved unsuccessful. After consulting with both Verity and Martin the root cause injury was identified and a treatment plan was established.
I am very impressed with BFCC’s ‘holistic’ approach to general well-being and their determination to identify the individual’s unique needs and treat accordingly. This involves sympathetic and professional one-to-one consultation with effective lifestyle analysis. As a result of Martin’s treatment and advice on exercise and alternative therapies, such as Pilates, my quality of life is much improved.
After arriving at BFCC in 2006 in constant discomfort, with a pain score of 9/10, my condition is now much improved and manageable with a pain score of 2/10. As a result, I would award Martin and the whole team 10/10!

I first attended this wonderful clinic about 3 years ago. I had previously suffered with back pain on and off since I was a young girl. Had 2 serious incidents when I was mid. 30's. Pain had been unbearable and was at my witts' end. I had seen the clinic as I visit Burnham often. I made an appointement & everyone there was so friendly. I was lucky to see Verity, who after a thorough discussion about my history & current condition took an X-ray of my spine. The next morning she explained everything about my spine in easy to understand language & set out a plan for me. I have never suffered any pain when she treats me and I have so much confidence in her. My back pain is now under control and I have taken her advice on the way that I look after my back. My back will never be in perfect shape, but I now have the confidence to live my life knowing that I have the back-up (no pun intended), I need when necessary. I try and walk as much as possible & Verity advised me to take up Pilates which helps keep my back in good shape.
I had to see Martin once when Verity was away, and have to say I was really impressed with him as well.
My husband & son are also patients of Verity and love her.
The receptionists are also very kind and all of the personnel make you feel like they are your family or friends.

I first attended BFCC in August 2004. I was sceptical having visited other chiropractors and the like over the years, spent a lot of money and not getting the results I would have liked.
I was introduced & treated by Verity on my first appointment to BFCC. A then enthusiastic mere 25 years old; I doubt long out of training. However much to my surprise her knowledge & professionalism were extensive.
I still see Verity on a two monthly basis just to keep the aches & pains at bay.
The advice she has given me over the years has been invaluable, ranging from exercise to diet and many other alternative & useful tips.
I must say I quite look forward to my visits.
I would most certainly recommend Verity to anyone who is looking not only to receive first class service and treatment but also someone with an unbelievable knowledge & passion for her profession.

Like most people I did not really know what chiropractors did, that was until I needed one desperately when I hurt my back. Lucky for me a friend of mine had been seeing Verity and she had an opening and saw me straight away. I will be honest, I did not have much faith, but I was in pain and would have done anything! I had my consultation and was pleasantly surprised, not what I thought it would be at all, and it is the best thing I could have done. Not only could I walk out upright, but the pain was much less. It is an ongoing process though, and not a one hit wonder.......
.......For the sceptics, you could not find a bigger one than my husband, but even he has been converted! It is a shame that he had to strain his back first, and now knows that it is not just for when you hurt your back, it is so much more, and well worth giving it a try!

I visited the Burnham Family Chiropractic Centre after I had damaged my back whilst decorating. It was a reach too far that lead to me to the centre.
I was in extreme discomfort and very close to tears, but was greeted by a friendly face at Reception. Forms were completed before I met my Chiropractor Verity.
More forms and lots of background information was taken at my first consultation. I was X-rayed, measured using a very hi tech system, only to find I was totally out of alignment. The first consultation did a small amount of work to alleviate immediate pain, followed by two more treatments that week and another two more sessions for the following 2 weeks. After six treatments my back problem was starting to show signs of improvment. I then took the option of another six, weekly appointments to fully straightened me out. I am happy to say that my back is now 95% better, I've taken on board the exercises recommended and carry them out each day.
Throughout my appointments Verity has explained everything to me fully, using diagrams, anatomy models and always asking for feedback and clarity.
The Reception staff greet you by name, which is lovely, so you feel welcome.
My intention is to keep regular check-ups throughout the year and to of course employ a decorator!

The Chiropractor I saw also friendly but very professional . I was amazed that just after one session my whole well being improved I could have a good night sleep.
I would definitely recommend to go to a good chiropractor to anyone because it could make a difference to your future health

I started treatment with the practise when the pain in my lower back and my shoulder became too great to ignore. I was extremely nervous and had no idea of what the treatment would involve and was convinced it was going to hurt.Verity Wills was so kind and reassuring and the examination was very thorough, I was stunned by how much she could tell me not just about my aches and pains, but also my health in general. Not only was the treatment highly successful, but was also totally ‘fear free’. I was diagnosed as having Gall Bladder problems and I was asked to do a ‘Gall Bladder Flush’ which meant drinking and eating certain food substances (one of which was olive oil!) over a period of days. This was one of the worst things I have ever done to myself, however, I have to confess that it completely worked and I have felt so much better since doing it.
I have such faith in the practise that I even bring my two teenage daughters here for treatment, I cannot recommend them enough.

Over a number of weeks my shoulder pain abated and I was able to play tennis again. I now attend the chiropractors quarterly in order to keep things in check. I have a far greater appreciation of how my body works and thanks to the sessions I am far more aware of any small niggles, that if arrested early, can prevent them developing into greater injuries.
I would recommend any sports player with a sore shoulder or back to visit Burnham Family Chiropractic Centre.
